I'm reading some E.W. Kenyon books right now and I decided to look him up on the net. I ran across this site and I must admit that things like this are not very faith building for a new Christian like me. Especially being introduced into the WoF.
What do you have to say about these acusations? What are your opinions on Kenyon?
Is everyone out there "heresy hunters" of do some of them have valid points? The teachings of faith that Kenyon wrote about are powerful but sites like this fizzle out the power like a fart. (sorry for the bad pun)
Puts to much doubt in my head to stand in faith for anything. The whole time I'm wondering if the other people are correct.
It's almost if Satan desined it that way. Keep me doubting at all times and steal the promises from me. Or are the other people correct and I'm just a new Christian being led into a bunch of bad "doctrine"
I didn't go look at it for the very reason you mentioned, if you dwell on stuff like this even though its not the truth it will start to put doubt in your mind.
Its like the people that hate conservative American principles, they can't fight it on a moral ground so they go after our forefathers and attempt to trash them in an attempt to disqualify the principles they established.
In the same way people against the WoF doctrine attempt to trash our predacessors since they can't defeat us using the Word they try to tear down the tenets of our beliefs by bringing down our leaders.

I'll check that out tomorrow after work.
But one quick question....
If you don't go looking at those things how do you know you are right? Seems a bit close minded to me.
Some advive from Paul to young Timothy in The Message:
2Ti 2:22 - 26 Run away from infantile indulgence. Run after mature righteousness--faith, love, peace--joining those who are in honest and serious prayer before God. Refuse to get involved in inane discussions; they always end up in fights. God's servant must not be argumentative, but a gentle listener and a teacher who keeps cool, working firmly but patiently with those who refuse to obey. You never know how or when God might sober them up with a change of heart and a turning to the truth, enabling them to escape the Devil's trap, where they are caught and held captive, forced to run his errands.
Jud 1:3 Dear friends, I've dropped everything to write you about this life of salvation that we have in common. I have to write insisting--begging!--that you fight with everything you have in you for this faith entrusted to us as a gift to guard and cherish.
Jud 1:4 What has happened is that some people have infiltrated our ranks (our Scriptures warned us this would happen), who beneath their pious skin are shameless scoundrels. Their design is to replace the sheer grace of our God with sheer license--which means doing away with Jesus Christ, our one and only Master.
It seems that in Timothy Paul is talking about Christians being argumentative, but Jude is talking about non Christians.
Unfortunately all Christians have to be apologists and we all should be able to defend our standpoint. Paul also said to Timothy in 2Tim 2:15 (ASV) Give diligence to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth.

*pulls out hair and screams*
I won't look at those sites either because it can cause doubt. When I was what my Pastor calls a "baby Christian", I wouldn't even go to the debate forums on CF. BTW...I am a "toddler Christian" now.
I did go and skim through some of the stuff they had on the teachers I know. The quotes are taken out of context and twisted. It was like looking at the political ads running on TV today. The opponent takes the sound bite that makes the person look and sound bad. They don't bother listing the entire sermon...just a few words that sound bad when not taken in context to the rest of the sermon.
If you have questions or doubts, go to the bible or your Pastor. You said that you are reading Kenyon's books. Do they line up with the Bible or do they mirror the junk that web site is spewing out? I bet they lineup with the bible. You have to guard your heart against what you see and hear and the best tool for that is the bible. I will be praying for you.
Don't hesitate to ask questions here. There are several wise Godly people in this forum but, always remember to prove what you hear against the bible. If it doesn't lineup with the bible, throw it out.

Your always going to have people talking bad about things they know nothing of.Theres web sites out there that talk bad about anyone they dont belive or like.So i dont bother with looking at them either.
Has anyone else ever noticed anything good that Hank Hannegraff has said AT ALL about pentecostals???
Me neither.
ShaunJ, Mr. Hannegraff has been doing this "tearing down" for a long time now.
I pulled up the website and saw his name and immediately came back to post. Not worth my reading time...
We should take someone's teachings and look at them against the Word, not someone else's (Hank Hannegraff) opinion of the word or how THEY twist it.
The Lord may speak to you concerning the things that you read from Kenyon. This revelation of the Spirit backed up by the "standard" of the Word suffices the "proper caution" we use for anyone's writings or teachings.
I'm a heavy Kenyon reader. I have not had any problems with his teachings, other than the fact that I have been too dense at times to really understand what he was writing about.
I'll also try to find T7's post in rebuttle to some guy we had come to CF a while back who blasted WoF and Kenyon.
Hannegraff states that Kenyon's teachings come from the New Thought ideas of P.P. Quimby while attending a school that was heavy into New Thought. Truth is, Kenyon had left the school earlier before the introduction of the philosophy stage of "New Thought" into the education system.
If anyone is a "huckster", it is Hannegraff.
Sorry, if he's someone's dad here.

Galatians 3:19 - What then was the purpose of the Law? It was added because of transgressions and [to make men more conscious of the sinfulness] of sin; and it was intended to be in effect until the Seed (the Descendant, the Heir) should come, to and concerning Whom the promise had been made.
So I guess this guy thinks he is on some kind of mission or something?
I myself have been reading Kenyon but I don't know enough of the bible off the top of my head to know if I'm reading truth. So I have to stop and look some times but I have yet to find anything that didn't seem to line up with it.
I have been going round and round with these sorts of folks for years.
Take all their accusations and boil them down... you won't have a cup of tea.
Pro 19:27
27 Cease, my son, to hear the instruction [that causeth] to err from the words of knowledge.

"...do not be concerned that some do not see your message. There are those who are hungrey for truth and who are seeking light. If there is truth in what you are saying, it will ring in their hearts like a bell. Those who are seeking will find, and if what they are seeking is in your saying, they will know it."
