I'm not freaking out about it - but my mom is already ill. Anything (regular family fights between my sister and stepdad for instance) can set off an 'attack' (which involves shortness of breath, overheating to faintness, vomitting, loss of vision or hearing) as it is. I don't think she's going to be able to handle the movie and she does have a DNR (Do Not Resussitate) order on file so it makes me rather nervous about her going to see this film
If she were my mother I don't think I'd want her to go. Non-believers are coming out of the theater sobbing (at least that's what the morning paper said) so it must be pretty intense.

Yeah my mom's a believer, it's been all she's had to have faith in while this darn (not what I want to say but we'll keep it clean) disease has been destroying her.

I strongly suggest that you ask her not to go. According to the reviews, there's over an hour of graphic torture, mutilation and, of course, the exeution itself, plus one paricularly horrendous extra-Biblical scene, which I can't wait to miss.
It must be like watching Bambi die...inch by inch.
My mother died years ago and she was in poor health, too. I miss her every day, but at least I have the consolation of knowing that she died while doing something she enjoyed.

good lord. I am a bit disturbed that you are envious of a dead person. But I guess that is since I don't have the holy spirit runnin through me. my spirit tells me to appreciat what am doing here because i have been with the divine forever and will be forever more, but your time here is precious.
Guess what - I agree that our time here is precious! But far more precious is my future with Jesus! Please don't be disturbed by that!
