Creation & EvolutionForum for the discussion of this important topic. This forum is open to non-believers. There is a Christians-only forum in the Christians-only section too.
Honestly, I find evolutionists who make fun of/put down creationists sickening. As much as they frustrate me, I'd take a misguided, close-minded creationist over a 'bored' evolutionist.
Just my opinion...but...had to say it.
P.S. There. Now no Christian can ever say non-Christians don't stand up for Christians. XP
I wasn't making fun of creationists. I was being weird.
Lighten up tree.

Woops, I forgot I actually made a slight effort with my profile on this particular forum.
I was hoping you'd rip my appallingly written Creationist post apart, but ah well...
You know, I was about to say....
You gave a very intelligent POV regarding the Bible over in the General Apologetics forum; I was about to comment here about the weird Jekyll/Hyde thing you had going...

Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these... these civilized people, they'll eat each other.

See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve.
Ugh. Just because some kids come and say those things, doesn't make it fair to represent all YEC's as saying that.
Granted, but YECs that sound like the OP tend to drown out the rest.

Is that to say that there are any young-Earth creationists with any scientific (as opposed to personal) objections to evolution? Are there any YEC claims that hold any weight? Are there any YEC's who can accurately describe the theory of evolution which they hate so much, or do they only have misconceptions and strawmen?

Well said, brother! (except for the misguided, close-minded part :-P)

Sorry, tyreth, but aside from being a little less coherent than some, the OP is a pretty good picture of what most YEC's DO say. This is because, at root, YECs have no evidence which they can use to support their cause. Sad, but true.
