Darwins evolution

I think this is the correct forum for this :crosses fingers; I just wanted to share.

Today my teacher got onto the topic of evolution and I said I did not believe in it. She said it is scientifically proven, and I said not even close, many scientists dont even believe it. She sais I had to learn it so i went on about how it was unfair she could teach a theory such as this like it is truth when it is JUST A THEORY, yet I have no stand in my own religion, in the classes. Some new kid (obviously doesnt know me enough to know Im friends with pretty much everyone)called me a jesus freak told me to sit down and shut up. My friend Joey (who the kid was becomign friends with) stodd up in my defense and said I have the right to say as I believe as much as anyone else (he says he 'believes' but religion is conformity) so we got into this whole debate and it ended up I, and two fellow christians in the class, got to express our belief on creation, and God, taking up most of the teachers times with questions from classmates. Near the end, though, some kid yelled out 'makes a lot more sense then coming from monkeys'....
I dont know...I thought it was pretty awesome...

Congratulations, all you did was waste the teacher's time.

Creationism, as a scientific theory, has been falsified. There are simply alot of occurences in nature that cannot be explained by a young earth or the special creation of species.

As well, creationism is a matter of theology and should be kept out of a science classroom.

the discussion was based on creation in the bible vs men evolving from other things. and the prurpose was to say her theorys arent proven so to teach them to people as the truth is wrong. Then again, that is only my opinion

Actually, evolution is the only scientific theory on the subject with any supporting evidence. Like I said, you wasted time.

Now, if you have questions I can answer them or refer you to someone who can.

Pretty neat story! I admire you standing up for your beliefs but trust me, whether you agree with evolution or not it is worth learning about.
Read my signature and take it to heart!

Whether you eventually agree or dismiss evolution it is worth learning about.

God didn't send His Son to pay for the forgiveness of your sin, and then decide He is going to require you to make installment payments. He only requires you to believe that the FULL PAYMENT was done, over 2000 yr. ago..........then you'll stop trying to make the installments on something you could never pay for anyway. The Good News is that you are debt free!

You're right. Evidence that can only be explained by an old earth is proof.

That was neither nice nor christian like wblastyn. Just because you believe something different then what she does does not give you the right to be rude! Please learn some manners before you post again.

neph, imagine if you found a web-forum where everyone constantly mis-interpreted some of the most basic parts of the Bible (not Genesis for the sake of this arguement). No matter how many times you corrected their mistakes, they came at you again and again with the same hackneyed arguements.

That's how the TEC's feel everytime a YEC posts.
