Is it also a sin to consider one culture to be superior to another culture? Obviously not. The problem arises because in the USofA the majority of one self-identified race (all racial classifications in the USofA are self-identified) has adopted a defective culture which causes this "race" to be predisposed to failure in a modern economy.
To consider your culture superior to that of your neighbor is pride, nothing more. The previous post also fails to grasp the nature of race. Race is not self-identified, but rather it is socially constructed and projected onto people with an arbitrary similar trait (skin color).
The problems experienced by minority groups in the US today are not the result of a self-adopted culture, but the result of a poverty cycle that history (specifically our "superior culture") put in to place hundreds of years ago.
I never understand why so many self-proclaimed christians retain such racist ideologies that conflict with the heart of Jesus' teachings... but that's another discussion altogether.
>To consider your culture superior to that of your neighbor is pride, nothing more.
A culture which requires a widow to throw herself on her husband's funeral pyre is not inferior? A culture which disparages education is not inferior?

Race is a human analog to breed.
>Race is not self-identified,
When the City of Seattle decided to make "race" based promotions many previously "white" people became some other color.
>but rather it is socially constructed and projected onto people with an arbitrary >similar trait (skin color)
Many people who claim to be a subject of prejudice (which is NOT the same thing as discrimination) can not be visually identified. It is more like "I am a (black, Indian person, homosexual, Mexican . . .) and now because I have told you I should recieve special treatment."
>The problems experienced by minority groups in the US today are not the result of a >self-adopted culture, but the result of a poverty cycle
Then why do children of black families making over $40k test an SD below the children of white families earning less than $10K?

pasted in previous post by error but how does an honest evaluation of culture conflict with Jesus' teachings?
No races in heaven as God never called Adam as asian or euroasian, etc. Though race does make a difference the way we look like, that's the image of God. Heaven is the home sweet home for all in Jesus the Christ. Not because the people there are beautiful, but the hearts are beautiful, the heart of Jesus the Christ.
The Spirit carries the same mindset of Jesus. Do we reflect in our actions and thoughts that are against the Spirit? No matter we speak it out or not. God can search our heart and tell the deep water within.
As we daily carry out the breath of life to live in the glory of God, and walk humbly with Him, we are alright with our 'identities' on earth, this place is not our eternal matter. But as we walk closely with God, we should have been self-examing our heart, how have we been treating ourselves and others. Do we call others other races and therefore inferior? Do we love them the way we love ourselves? The best way to thank God is to love one another, as we begin our life on earth, we begin our life in heaven.
And we walk in the light of God, we are in harmony with heavenly matter, trouble not we have sin against God.
