Giantgerbil: You seem to have a major mental disconnect going on here. I have already commented that I am not a supporter of Bush. But frankly, if I were going to rant about him, I could pick several other actions of his that are more deserving of ridicule. (However, I intend to refrain from any of that).
As for providing for the needy, I am entirely in favor. And it is entirely irrelevant whether the recipients of our generosity ever acknowledge or return that generosity. God knows what we do, even when nobody else sees. God has blessed the majority of people in this nation with amazing prosperity. Even the poor in this country have cars and cable television. To turn our backs on the neediest people in the world would be a far greater sin than I want to have on my conscience.
Assuming that you are not a troll - however unlikely that seems right now - allow me to offer some humble advice: If you wish to rally people to your views on Bush, do so in a manner that provokes thought, not anger. Suggesting that we perform genocide by neglect, will not win you any friends around here.
Is it "effeminate" to care for the needy? You seem to think so. Am I emasculated by concerning myself with the welfare of others? Hardly. I'm sure glad God cares for those that you seem to think are beneath your dignity.
Finally, o wise one, enlighten us with a taste of your erudition, and resubmit your ruminations only after forming them into coherent thoughts.
