It had dew on it, and the spider was in the middle, just sitting there looking picturesque. And the sun was just coming up, so the sunrise was in the background. Oh, it was magnificent.

well check out the size of this one!!! http://www.geocities.com/helium_mark/redback.html it is (rather was) nearly the size of a 50cent peice!!!! maybe bigger....

Reps: 140,120 (power: 183) | | | Marduke....I live in the land of the redback. I killed two yesterday which had spun their webs in the rockery. One would have been as big as a 5 cent piece. Struth! I can tell you I really thought I had been bitten! They are everywhere here. Slow to bite...but...don't like to get close enough to try them in that aspect....
Haven't seen one as big as a 50c piece...but...I definitely HAVE seen one as big as10c.
