The Impact of Superbowl on America, Children, Terrorists, & The End Times

Just thinking of how severely the Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake thing has impacted our society.

1) Did you ever imagine that we would be discussing the showing of a female singer's breast on national television? Now this opens the door to discussing the legalities of such and act and the ethical considerations of what happened there. Perhaps a movement will begin to include more nudity on TV.

2) Children have been increasingly exposed to the gyrations and overt sexual expressions from the likes of Brittany Spears, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and more. Little girls, starting at age 7 now, begin to emulate these raunchy stars and want to be like them. Some even do talent shows - dressing and gyrating like their older teen idols. It's SICK, and it's sad.

3) Men will become more sexually emboldened and aggressive. More rapes will occur. Not to say that unfortunately, more women have become sexually aggressive these days also, but it's typically the men who are most aggressive and potentially violent.

4) Terrorists are probably more emboldened now. They already see America as the Great Satan, exporting filth around the world. Just more ammo to want to destroy us.

5) Morality will be questioned. Is this right or wrong? Who's to decide? (of course we Christians know the answer to that one)

6) 2 Timothy 3!!!

Anyone care to add?

Idiocy.

Since when did the human body become an object of vulgarity? When idiot puritans decided it was so!

The Janet jackson thing is blown out of proportion. Sure it was an exercize in self promotion but it isn't vulgar.

Perhaps if nudity wasn't as frowned upon and was more prevalent we would have LESS problems.

It's nothing more than a reflection of our society. Children are exposed to more unregulated information than they're capable of handling. Parents do your jobs.

What are you implying with your response? In your estimation, is it the local organization's responsibility to preach the gospel message every week hoping one unregenerate is present to hear?

This is a man who has likely never had to explain to his SIX year old boy why he's getting an errection when he is blind-sided with these types of things on TV from supposedly "family" programming. It's something a parent would like to not have to do until the child is actually capable of understanding what is going on. [We're thankful, however, our boy was willing to meantion what was happening down there.]

Hi Ben,

I guess you have forgotten, but young boys get erections whether they see 'these' things or not. The male is built that way.

If your boy is six he probably knows about sex, if not he'll learn soon. The male is built that way.
