You may be thinking of the words of Isaiah.
Isaiah 50:6 (NASB)
I gave My back to those who strike Me,
And My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard;
I did not cover My face from humiliation and spitting.
Jesus had a beard, but not long hair as it was not the tradition. He was a Nazerine (from this town) but not a Nazerite (Sect) - who did have long hair.
The scriptures also indicate that he was a very plain person - not like the artists images that we see of him today.
Isaiah 53:1-3 (NASB)
Who has believed our message?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
[2] For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot,
And like a root out of parched ground;
He has no stately form or majesty
That we should look upon Him,
Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.
[3] He was despised and forsaken of men,
A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief;
And like one from whom men hide their face,
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

He had a long straight beard, light brown or blondish in color, just like the pictures you see of Him (probably from people who were also on the earth at the same time as Jesus, 2000 years ago).
When I prayed to God for my life at a time when I was working the graveyard shift in this lifetime (because someone was going to kill me) God delivered me from my attacker and in so doing, I saw a mental image of Jesus in my mind and He had a black curly beard. So, I guess Jesus changes His appearance from time to time.
One last thing, God told me that Jesus was supposed to be Nazarite from birth. Nazarite is defined in Numbers 6:1-8 and that means no haircuts, shaving, drinking alcoholic beverages, and no going to funerals. I know because I am Nazarite. So, Jesus wasn't supposed to shave or drink though it is in The Bible that Jesus drank wine though He didn't shave. |

But why does it really matter, anyway?
Jesus may look quite cool but that isn't what comes into people's mind when they see or hear about him. |
