Creation & EvolutionForum for the discussion of this important topic. This forum is open to non-believers. There is a Christians-only forum in the Christians-only section too.
I find it odd how evolutionists claim that most people in the world accept evolution, while there are 17 pages of people who claim to be YECs at this site, 5 pages of theistic evolutionists, and 4 pages of atheistic evolutionists. Perhaps they need to check their poll results once again.
If you don't believe me go to "members search" and click on Young Earth Creation, then theistic evolution, then atheistic evolution.
Of course, we will ignore the fact that CF has a higher rate of fundies than the world. Many non fundies have left.
As others have pointed out, CF is not a very good at what the world thinks (its why most internet polls have a disclaimer that says they are not scientific polls and may not be a truthful representation).
I think all of the world's Christians agree with the opinions expressed on this website.
You are so very wrong. Creationism is popular olnly there in America. In my country something like 80% of the population is christian (roman catholic) and I don't know anyone who believes in 6 days creation. And I mean anyone, not even priests. I have friends who gave cathecism classes and I they they laugh at the theorie that the Earth is only 6000 years old.
Only in a society where the general population is USED to being decieved - whether by advertising, politicians, religions etc... can this sort of distortion survive. In most countries, people aren't used to joining ONE political faction and supporting ALL that that faction stands for. Most countries have multiple parties - that stand for multiple different ideas. America has simply been reduced to an "all or nothing" mentality where either it's true or it's a lie. You're on MY side or you're on THEIRS. It's a much simpler, and so much less useful worldview. The great advances brought about by the United States' constitution and government system have become bogged down - it remains to be seen where it will lead.
