I go to a pentecostal church but i havent heard of WOF before, what is it???
Like the only thing that i can think of that it might be is standing on the word of God in faith and believing it till it comes to pass. Or declering Gods word and speaking it into being?
But if that is what it means, then why are there churches called word of faith? when standing on Gods word is what all churches should do??
Unless it means something else?

WoF means "Word of Faith"
It comes from Romans 10...
Rom 10:8
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

WoF believes that the promises of God are for all Christians and it isn't a matter of asking God to heal me (for example) but that healing is already provided and I need to receive it.
Another viewpoint (a somewhat misunderstood one) is that Christians are the Righteousness of God. This flies in the face of many that think we are just sinners struggling along and someday we will get victory on some glad morning....
We all believe that: For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. 2 Cor 1:20

1 Cor 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.

SS is right Emma,
There are some practical differences there that only stick out when you are a WoFer trying to fellowship in a Pentecostal Church. WoF sees the work of God as being accomplished in Christ, where others may think that some things were left undone and need to be dealt with by us.
Good questions.

I thought WoF was all lies and hurt lots of people. Then I realized that it is more bibiacly sound then any of the denoms I have come across. I think it scares some people...
