Reps: 58 (power: 0) | | What kind of electric guitar should I buy that won't cost me an arm and a leg? Hey,
So do ya'll have any suggestions on what electric guitars would be a good price?
Fender Stratocaster? (sp?)
I used to like the Fender JagStang before I was saved (big Nirvana fan before the Lord saved me) but I don't want to be associated w/ them anymore!
So what electric guitar should I get? and how much can I expect to pay?
Thanks |

If you want to stick with BIG name brands the Mexican Fender Strat and Teles would be a good choice and can be bought new in the $350 range.
Yamaha makes a nice Pacifica that can be had for about $169.
The Ibanez S series has a low end model that is pretty good. |

I got a guitar that was like $150 and now its a pile of junk. never stayed in tune. i always say you get what you pay for.

About 10 years ago I played some nice Squiers but lately all the Squires I've seen look and feel really cheap. I don't share your enthusiasm for the Squier line. |

Reps: 58 (power: 0) | | I found a "scratch and dent" Strat. for $331, should I get it? Regular price would be $549 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...e_pid/510000X/
There's the link for it, I would link/post a pic but I can't yet |

Reps: 14 (power: 0) | | | Good morning, I have been dissapointed in the latest Squires.. bolt on necks won't stay in tune... If that Strat is a 'neck through' BUY IT!! The best new guitar i have played that is reasonable is a PRS Santana. It is beautiful and worth the extra money.
