I posted on the subject of " Was Jesus Poor " in the other forum before we had the WoF forum and people came unhinged at the suggestion that Jesus didn't walk around poor on the earth.
1) At the beginning of Jeus' life He received costly and valuable gifts from the wise men.
2) Luke 8:1-3 ... many others, which ministered unto Him of their substance.
Sound like Jesus had ministry partners.
3) Mathew 17:24-27 - tells the story of Jesus' telling Simon to go catch a fish and take a gold coin from its mouth. (this is of particular interest to me since I am a bass fisherman, I would like to get gold coins out of their mouths)
Jesus met the needs of Himself and others.
4) John 12:6 "... As keeper of the money bag, he (Judas) used to help himself to what was put into it"
So obviously there was enough money in the bag that Judas could steal some without being noticed and just the fact that Jesus needed a treasurer indicates He had some money.
5) John 12:8 " You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me"
Jesus distinguishes between the poor and Himself, Jesus did not call Himself poor but made a definate distinction between the two.
6) John 12:1-8 tells the story of the expensive perfume being poured on Jesus' feet, it was worth a years worth of wages but Jesus didn't get excited about it, wasn't intimidated by it, wasn't concerned at all about the value.
7) Luke 22:35 Then Jesus asked them, " When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?" " Nothing" they answered.
His apostles had more than enough, an abundant supply.
8) John 19:23,24 - tells the story of the Roman soldiers gambling for Jesus' clothes, Would Roman soldiers gamble for the rags of a beggar?
Jesus had nice clothes.
Jesus was prosperous.
