Okay, I don't want to start a war okay, so please don't take offence or argue, just tell your view without getting mad... all of this is going to glorify God and if you think you will get mad then please don't read on.
The earth is rotated on a perfect 23 degree angle, A few degrees closer to the sun we would desinigrate WHAT A MIRICAL which brings up a point:
If theirs a plan their is a planner, if theirs a creation theirs a creator, and if their is a mirical their is a God
if you graduate colledge and are talking and you even mention the name of Jesus, you can expect 6 Months in prison! as though it was some major crime! I ask you this... if their is no God, then why is it when someone with faith uses the name of Jesus. They can preform miracals!
Here is a little story I wrote its called The boy who found Christ: Their was a little boy, each day he went to school...
he was about 5 years old and came from a religious Christian family.
Because he went to a public school he never learned about the true
way that people where created, through God... eventually he didn't believe in God.
So as the years went on, he got older and older, by the time he was 10
he had absolutely no faith in God! 2 years later he started to do drugs,
He started to get in fights just to inflict pain on others, He also
skipped school various times during the week.
so as time went on his parents found out, and where going to send him to
a Military Boarding School. so he ran out that night
and he was hit by a car... almost dead he saw a human figure
that shone with a light so bright he new that if he was alive he would be blinded
and a voice came from it, the voice said "If you turn to me I will walk with you forever,
and I will help you, and I will forgive you for all the sins you have commited" and the boy
said "wh-who are you?" and the voice replied "I am the light of the world, he who
believes in me though he shall die like anyone else yet shall live. I am Jesus"
The boy then woke up and started to cry, when his parents found him he said
"I saw a brilliant lite, I have seen Christ! he shone with a light brighter than the sun
and told me that if I turn to him he will help me to overcome all my problems"
the next day the boy skipped school one more time and ran to the church without
stopping once and when he got their he said
"I would like to accept Christ into my life as my Lord and Savior"
He then said the person their said "Do you believe in God?"
The boy said "Yes" then the person said "Do you believe that Jesus
Christ died on the Cross for our sins and that three days later he
was risen from the dead?" and the boy said "Yes"
Then the person handed him a piece of paper and said
"Just say this prayer and you will have accepted Christ into your life."
And the boy read aloud:
"Lord Jesus I come to you today just as I am. I thank You that
You accept me just as I am. I admit that I am a sinner and repent of my
sins from the past. Thank you for dying on the Cross for my sins and please
come into my life and become my Lord and Savior. I surrender my will to you right now.
Thank you for coming into my life and forgiving my sins.
Amen"
After that he stopped using drugs and started teaching his class-mates about
Christ. He was given the ability to give great speeches about Christ, and helped
many people to find The Light!
Also the big bang, thats just a theory, the science teachers say that if you ask them! But the books say its pure fact.
If the big bang happened, evolution is impossible! both just cant mix! The earth was lava that had to cool over time, then billions of years later life evolved from rock? Just cant happen!
The error in the big bang: When dust is put together does it explode? NO! it falls apart!

The angle the earth is at is not a closer/further thing.

God and an aiethist/scientist/satan are standing together and the aiethist says to God "show me your best miracle and I bet I can duplicate it" God says "sure". He reaches down and picks up some dirt, blows into it and a man is made. The aeithist says, "no problem" so he reaches down and picks up some dirt and starts to blow on it. God steps in and says " wait a second, get your own dirt"
I suspect you've heard something about the earth's tilt and the earth's distance from the sun, and because you didn't fully understand either of them, you've combined them into a single statement.
But it's false from any angle. If the tilt were greater, our seasons would be more extreme. If it were lesser, then the seasons would be less extreme. I can imagine a parallel earth somewhere in thought experiment land where people on a planet with only a 3 degree tilt are saying "Coo! We have a perfect 3 degree tilt. If it were much greater, we'd have to cope with temperatures that were below zero one part of the year and 30 or 40 degrees at the other end! What a miracle!
The problem with "the earth is perfect for us" arguments is that a puddle can use them to declare its hole was specially created for it. "Look" says the puddle "this hole is exactly the same shape as me!"

The last sentence could be used as "proof" of God prior to 1859. It is called the Argument from Design. The problem is that Darwin discovered an unintelligent process that gives design -- natural selection. Therefore this "proof" of the existence of God is no longer valid. That doesn't mean God goes away. Pay attention to that. It simply means the argument for God is no longer valid. You can't "prove" God this way anymore.

Where is this? Certainly not in the US. After all, the President graduated college and mentions Jesus quite frequently. No one has tried to arrest him!

This is a poor reason to lose faith. It means that someone told the little boy that only god-of-the-gaps was right. Those people that told him that should be scolded. Those people were probably his parents, Sunday school teachers, and pastor!
And no, in our society we can't teach God in public schools. Because we live in a tolerant society where there are many concepts about God and we can't teach one of them in school without hurting all the others. And we can't teach God created by zapping in science class because God didn't create by zapping.

NOW you have acceptable evidence for the existence of God. This certainly convinced the boy, right? However, in all fairness, this experience was only to the boy. It is not going to convince everyone because their experience may be different. Do you understand? Yes, this experience was completely convincing to the boy. But if my experience is something different, I'm not going to be convinced by it.

Theories are not wild guesses. Valid theories --like the Big Bang -- are ideas that are supported by a vast amount of data. Another theory is that the earth is round. That is also taught as fact. Do you object to that? Why not? The same applies to both.

The "explosion" is just an analogy. The Big Bang was similar to an explosion. But not identical. What was similar is that an explosion is hot and the gasses expand. In the Big Bang the universe was hot and expanded. However, in an explosion the gasses expand into a space. In the Big Bang space expanded. And that makes all the difference to your objection.
The earth was never pure lava. The earth was formed by collisions of dust and larger particles over time. Those collisions would have generated heat but never enough to make the entire planet lava. The earth is about 4.55 billion years old. Life is at least 3.8 billion years old, which means life formed just 700 million years after the planet. And no, life did not form from rock! Wherever did you get that idea?
Now, does this mean God is absent? NO! It simply means that God created life thru chemistry. Just like God created the earth by gravity. God created the universe thru the Big Bang. God is never absent from the processes that science discovers. That is where your pastor and others have misled you. They have told you that God only lives in the gaps of science. That is wrong. God is everywhere, including the processes discovered by science.

Was the OP trying to witness to Christians? Is he aware that this is a Christians Only forum? Is he yet one more in the line of fanatics who think that those who differ from his interpretation of Genesis are not Christians and don't believe there is a God?
