Question dreams?

Hi all

I didn't plan on posting this but I think I want an opinion or 2

I've delt with porn months ago and was completely freed by God!!
When I was addicted to porn and for some time afterwards I always had lustfull sexual dreams. After some time that stronghold was also broken in my mind and they seemed to completely have disappeared. This is all very GREAT and I praise God for releasing me from all this.

But now that I'm finally clean. (I seem to sound like a ex-drugaddict... but that is basicly the same I guess.) Now I think I'm finally moving into a place to actually have a relationship with a girl. No I'm not perfect and still messed up in lotsa ways but I think you know what I mean.

Anyways lately I've been having another type of dream. It's not sexual. It's usually about me being in a "relationship" with a girl. There rarely something more physical in there than maybe a hug or a kiss. It's more about being together. mmm I wonder if anyone will understand.
Basicly it's not sexual/lustfull but it still is a dream which means it's probably what my deepest desires wants in some way?

Should I worry? Should I pray to God that these dreams also go away? I now it's in His will that I do get a life partner but is the dreams ok or not?
Is there somebody else that actually have this same sorta dreams?

(Hopefully nobody on this forum really knows me )

Koop is on a distinguished road
Hey JOHN! j/k

Dreams are funny things. The first question i would ask is are they causing you to stumble? If so yes. I would say pray for them to go. If not, not only do i not see them as a problem, but it's possible (not saying likely just possible) that they are from God. The Lord deafinately speaks to us through dreams. If it does not cause you to stumble in any way I would encourage you to enjoy the dreams.

So the dreams are basically about you being close to a girl, feeling that emotional bond, and love? I don't see where that is a problem in the least sounds more like you are wanting what a relationship is meant to be.

Thanks guys.

Yep I think you understand it somewhat right Inspired.
No Koop it's def not dreams from God.. :-)

It doesn't make me stumble or make me want to go out and do something silly either.
But I'm usually kinda sad when I realize it's was only a dream. Because for some reason some of these dreams was so real that I could almost do what I want in the dream... But then when I wake up I'm sad because it was not real. It was just my imagination and I cannot marry a girl in my dreams now can I?

I think I do enjoy the dreams for that period of time that I'm not aware it's a dream..
mmm

I'll just ask God to send me dreams from Him. :-)

I think sometimes our dreams are manifestations of our sub-conscious. Something that we are thinking about, whether we realize we are thinking about it or not, has a way of making it into our dreams. Maybe your desires to be in a relationship and be married are coming into your dreams. I know how disappointing it can be to be having a wonderful dream to only wake up and realize it was only a dream! I don't think there is anything wrong or anything to worry about. I would say it is pretty normal.
