There are a couple of terms I've seen used in quite a few posts, and I sometimes wonder if everyone understands them the same way. How would you-all define the following terms?
"Strong Christian"
"Judging"

'Judging' would be the act of deflecting criticism from oneself by pointing out another's faults.

Strong Christian - a Christian who is mature in his/her faith; one who is not "lukewarm"
Judging - discerning; choosing; forming an opinion; evaluating; deciding; also a word seen by many as having negative connotations and used to avoid being corrected by others or to make it seem that that anyone who points out a sin is a bad person - For example:
Person A - "I do ___."
Person B - "___ is a sin"
Person A - "Stop judging me!"

Congrats - most people shy away from this one! Right there on that. Most people miss that the christians put themselves under the same standard. It's not their standard or opinion of right and wrong that's important, it's God's. It's not about getting a one-up, it's about helping someone come away from something that's harmful to them by God's measure. | |
