| I am part of a "Disciple: becoming disciples through bible study" Group. It is a 34 week course in a group of 7 to 12 people. You have nightly readings and end up reading about 85% of the bible. This is my second time doing the study. I am facilitating the group this time around. I can not speak enough about this study. Online studies are great but when you get a group of people meeting once a week for 2 1/2 hours to really study God's Word together, it is amazing!
The study has really had an impact on my life and my understanding of the bible as a whole. I guess I had a “Swiss Cheese” understanding of the Bible but the study has really brought it all together for me. I can see the continuity of the bible and see how the Covenants of the Old Testament relates to the Covenant made through Jesus Christ
Another blessing is the bond you build with the group. You really become a family. It’s hard to explain but each time I have taken the study you can see the unique mix of people brought together. You can see a design in the specific people in the group, a design as how each person’s gift is a unique need and fulfillment of that need in the group.
