Isn't God good. I don't know if anyone remembers when you were younger and you fell and scraped your knee, and your mommy or daddy came running after you and you just held your arms out and waited for them to pick you up and when you were in their arms, you knew you were safe. That is how I feel in the arms of Jesus. SAFE! God is so good and so willing to pick us up, no matter how many scrapes we get ourselves into.

It's funny, but when I have been a difficult place in life, I've imagined myself clinging to him while he carries me across a tightrope stretched across a deep chasm. It helps me, because I know I could never have the strength or balance to get across by myself, and I can only get to the other side by letting him take all the steps.

For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. 'Lord, You said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed You most you would leave me.' The Lord replied, 'My precious,precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.
