Im pretty sure science > bible. Plus, its obvious that animals have feelings and emotions. As has been said before, when you have a pet like a dog, you know their moods and emotions from their behavior. |

Reps: 12 (power: 0) | | I am positive that science < bible. God made everything, including the ability to try to explain Him away with silly notions such as "First there was nothing, then it exploded". So I count on science, which keeps proving itself wrong, exactly zero. I am new to this area, but isn't the web address is http://www.christian-forums.com/... Aren't there any Christians here?

Ok then, I guess i shouldnt sail past europe, unless I want to fall of the edge of the flat, geocentric earth. Also, your understanding of the big bang is very, very wrong. Please read up.

Better advice is seldom spoken.

Do remember that this is a christian forum. You may cause some to suffer from your comment. Well, on the subject, I feel that it is inevitable that animals do have feelings, by the definition of the word. However, it is harder to tell if they possess the cognitive afterthought that humans do, inasmuch as we think in abstract terms more often than animals would, especially when it comes to such subjects as death. I am not saying that animals can not think abstractly, but I am saying that their thoughts are more concrete and realistic in nature the majority of the time. Becaue the Word of God is the answer to all things, and it is the guidebook for life..
Yes, quite agreed, it is our guidebook of life. However, no, the Word of God is not the answer to all things. The infinite knowledge of God and the massive variety of information could never fit into a tome so small. It tells us of morality, justice, and salvation...
However, it does not inform us on many specifics in the realm of science or logical deduction as often as it does teach of the wisdom of God.
For example, you will not find Nobel Gas laws in the Bible. That is because it is a scientific deduction. However, we do know that there is much before us to be discovered with the light that is the glory of God. As we uncover the many workings of the universe, we are simply progressing beyond what God gave us, a blueprint for our lives (or a guidebook, if you prefer).
On the subject of animals...
( Ecclesiastes 3.19)
"For the fate of humans and the fate of animals is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They have the same breath, and humans ahave no advantage over the animals; for all is vanity."
The only useful quote I could find. |

- Germ Theory. Have you ever taken a vaccination, or some other anti-biotic? The lesson learned is that science, although forged by man, is still a reliable source of information when taken in correctly. It answers the how, the bible answers why.
- Yes, you are surrounded by Christians.

Ok, that analogy was bad.
