Anyway though, The bible refers to Jesus as the Morning Star and also refers to Lucifer as the morning star. It does talk about angels in the bible as stars and for all we know they could be. How many of us have actually been close enough to see a star? They could be angels for all we know. |

I quess with that attitude we might as well close down the forums or perhaps only have threads that relate to salvation....yes? |

Well, Salvation is important and the process of knowing God is important, but I do not see why it would matter if it were an angel or a star. Again, this isn't a theological question. If you proved that it was an angel, then what? (If you are sitting there trying to think of something that would make it a credible discovery, then just stop) |

I went to a conference, years ago, in Monterey, CA, which showed the star chart for that evening. Something most peculiar happened in the sky - the planet Jupiter (also known as the sign of the King...hmmmm) traveled back across its own orbit and came to settle in the sky. Not only was this a true astrological phenomen - Jupiter would have been the brightest object in the sky.
So - if the Magi ( do some research here - who were they and what did they do) who were "stargazers", had observed this - they would surely have thought they had seen a message from royalty. Note their response, "Where is the King? We have seen "his star" and have come to worship him." Had the writer thought they implied "angel" then he would have used the same Greek word to describe the "star" as he did of the heavenly host appearing to the shepherds.
