I've got a cookbook here with recipes from around the world, and it's got a recipe for Guacamole from Mexico.
In a bowl, chop or mash 1 peeled avocado
Stir in:
1 small tomato, finely chopped
1-2T onion, minced
1T lemon juice
1 clove garlic, minced or crushed
salt to taste
cillantro, chopped (optional)
1/2 fresh green chili pepper minced (optional)
you could also add 2T sour cream if you wish.
I haven't tried this recipe, but it sure sounds yummy!

I have Made this and it is very good. But have not tried it with the sour cream.

dont knock it before you try it,no it is not disgusting, it is just to stretch it a little further,for you spread it on top of the beans. I have cooked for many,many people,I am a cook,and usually I make heath foods, but once in awhile I will use "junk" like mayo.hey, have you ever heard of the dreaded...........MAYONAISE CAKE! har,har.~ Bonnie
Oooooo Mayonnaise cake is sooooo good. It's about the moistest cake I've ever had

have you ever heard of the dreaded...........MAYONAISE CAKE!
NO I have not heard of the dreaded MAYONAISE CAKE? Is it a real cake? Or is this all a Joke? If it is real I would like the recipe! If it’s a joke then it’s on me!

1 medium-sized tomato (about 1/2 lb) 2 ripe avocados (about 1 1/2 to 2 lbs) 1 1/2 Tbsp lime juice (fresh squeezed is best) 1 tsp salt 1 small onion 2 canned, whole green chiles, drained
Peel, seed and finely chop tomato. Peel avocados and mash with a potato masher. Add lime juice and salt. Finely chop onion and chiles and stir in. Enjoy!
