Question Do christians go to heaven as soon as they die?

Hello!
This one has been bothering me. I thought people went to Heaven or Hell as soon as they died, but I read a lot of different texts and now I am confused. I'm reading The Bible, but I started very soon and I really want to find an answer to this question. People say that when a person dies, he is dead, that's it. It's like he's sleeping. He doesn't go to Heaven or Hell right away. He will when the second coming of Christ occurs. Is that right? Because I have read also a lot of testimonies of people who had been to those places and I am really confused right now.

2 Corinthians 5:8 says that a believer dies he is absent from the body and at home with the Lord. The body remains and we go to be with Him.

1 Thesalonians 4 says that those who have died (the Bible uses the term "fallen asleep") at the time Christ returns come with Him.

14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
Their bodies will be resurrected in an imperishable form suited to eternity; and then soul and resurrected bodies are united.

16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
Believers alive at His return receive immortal bodies without experiencing physical death.

Paul describes this again in 1 Cor 15.

51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep {i.e. die}, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
Does this help?

So our souls go to Heaven? And we still exist but our bodies are buried beneath the ground? We still feel and get to be with Him, see Him? Sorry, I didn't quite understand it.

We are with Him. The senses of touch, taste and sight are not commented upon. We do not have bodies until the resurrection.

Not all our our curiosity questions are answered. Being with Him is dominant!
