Reps: 46,526,924,906,949,488 (power: 46,526,924,906,950) | | | I had two wonderful, sweet, snuggly, affectionate ratties. I love rats. Unfortunately, I developed such a severe allergy to them that I can never have rats again. They are the sweetest of all the rodents, in my opinion.

Unfortunately my family thinks I'm crazy for liking/keeping rats, and they think that rats are evil, which makes me furious! Rats are simply the best small animal pet you can have, in my opinion.

I used to have a pet white rat when I was young. It was male and smelt a bit if I didn't clean its cage every day. I remember that it was a lot smarter than an hampster.
The only rats I see these days are wild ones which are a lot bigger. Does anyone know if they are the same species? |

Reps: 11,616,520,654,041,462 (power: 11,616,520,654,042) | | | Wild rats are usually Black, Brown, or Norwegian rats. Domesticated rats were bred from these, but just like all our domesticated dog breeds were bred from wolves and foxes, they are quite a bit different.
So glad to find so many other rat lovers!!!
