God’s words in the Old Testament woke me up

I am a Christian. I have been one since I was baptized in a Catholic Church when I was a baby. I spent all my youth reading the New Testament believing that was where the truth I, (I still do). I went to a school run by a Catholic Church in my youth. Then in my old age I decided to read the Old Testament to see what was said Before Christ came to our salvation. Now that I have read it I find that there is some history there between God and man that I had not seen before.
What I am asking you, as fellow Christian, what is your take on this link. God’s words are in the Old Testament and this too should be heard.
Please, all I am asking you is to tell me, as a Christian, what you get out of the link below. Enlighten me, straighten me out. What do you see-? Just cut and past the following link into your browser and read what is there. I need your feedback because I am now more confused than I was before.

I have edited out the link but I did review the site. I find it disregards the biblical data and distorts the biblical message. For example, the site speaks of the Passover and states, "This was an act of TERRORISM carried out by the Israelites not the Lord."

This statement contradicts the Bible and is anti-semitic.

Why not spend some time reading discussions that respect the integrity of the biblical account. I suggest, Gleason Archer, A Survey of Old Testament Introduction. If you will take the time to read this text you will find a more biblical picture of the Old Testament.

I do not want to debate the un-debatable either. I just have that feeling that you did not read the entire article but just jumped on one part you did not like. And I might add I removed that portion. The point of the thread is that God did single them out, they were chosen, and the reason they were chosen was to show by example God’s commandments in real time for all to see. Once done a new beginning would circumvent the world bring about a new era of peace. But if you don’t get it that is ok by me but still regrettable. The least you could do is check out the term “stranger” that is mentioned numerous times. And once done please tell me what that term means to you. Once done I will leave you alone.

I read much more of the site that you suppose and it is riddled with error. You would do well to read the text I recommended.

Secondly, you ignored my note that the thread is closed. This sub forum is not a place to ask Chaplains to review your website in depth. It is also not a place for you to try to convince our Chaplains that you are right.

So I will again ask you to discuss this elsewhere and consistent with the rules of CF.

Further posts here will result in deletion of the thread.
