I don't know if this is the right place for this, but here goes:
I was browsing one of the sub-forums and came across a member who uses one of the Christian faith icons but explicitly admits to being a Muslim and not a Christian. I was going to report it thinking that that was in violation of forum rules, but upon checking the rules I could not find one that states that our faith icon must actually represent our beliefs.
Thus, I would like to suggest that that be added to the site rules, that the faith icon that we select must actually represent our beliefs/affiliation. There is a rule that states that we must be truthful about our identity, but that is in the context of impersonation of others.

actually yeah .. there's a rule relating to .. using a pin to gain access to forums that you wouldn't normally be able to gain access.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. (1 John 4:16-18)

1) Why can't I start a thread in this subforum? I hate to hijack a thread lol but I don't know how else to address this question.
And the real question:
2) There is a thread in the 'Apologetics' subforum called "Do you consider Catholicism to be Christian?" And the posts there are growing more hateful by the page. I did report one, but I remember a staff member saying that we should only report one post, so I haven't reported after the first. But doesn't the entire thread go against forum rules? I thought we weren't supposed to debate whether another denommination was Christian or not?

"Why all the fighting? Why though, seriously? We may disagree on minor things, but we believe one fundamental truth, that Jesus Christ is Lord! There is a way to correct that will lead to better understanding, and nastiness is NOT THAT WAY!"

It may be a glitch as to why you can't post a new thread in this section. I would contact an administrator and they can look into it for you.
As for your second question, if you reported it then it's under review. It can take a few days to process everything with votes and actions, we are paying attention
