Come in here if you're from the UK

First, let me just say that I'm in love with British culture, history, food, etc., so much so, that this American here did the unthinkable:

I tasted Marmite for the first time.

And all I have to say, is this: Good Lord, how do you guys eat this stuff??

The Nicene Creed

I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all that is seen and unseen. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father. Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father through Him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, He suffered and was buried;
On the the third day, He rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures ; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father;
He will come again in glory to judge the living and dead. And His kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father, with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, He has spoken through the prophets. I believe In one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.
I acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
Amen.

If a thing ain't broke DON'T fix it !

Southern girl here. I sent a friend of mine in Wales a box of grits a while back, and she sent me some traditional Welsh recipes. She actually put marmite in her grits and declared them 'tasty'. I thought I would die!

I love the UK, but you can keep your marmite. Also, your tea tastes like coffee and your coffee tastes like tea. And fried bread?

WHO FRIES BREAD?!

But all is forgiven since:

a) I like your cider. A lot.
b) Your pubs are fun. They, too, have cider. I sense a theme here.
c) London is The Bomb.
d) The BBC makes really good TV these days. Sherlock? Parade's End? Doctor Who? Luther? Sold! Never Mind the Buzzcocks? Mock the Week? QI? Have I Got News For You? Love it.
e) I like your language and your writers.
f) Your island looks like a Smurf, and who doesn't like Smurfs?*
g) It's quite possibly the only place that airs a gardening programme at primetime on one of its major stations (and the only reason I know this is that it precedes Parade's End, and I mean, BBC, what kind of programming is that?!)

*Gargamel is exempt from this question.

One day I'm going to see more of the US and I'll try grits. I can't, for the life of me, imagine I'll like them but we'll chalk it up to YOLO.

EDIT: Any of you Yanks (or other type of American, or Canadian, or Brits, or wherever) come to the Netherlands I'll make you Kale the way it was meant to be and buy you stroopwafels.

And stoofpeertjes. Whoever dislikes Dutch cuisine just hasn't tried stoofpeertjes yet.

If I can't pronounce it, I usually won't eat it.

You want I should send you some grits? If you like corn, you will like grits.

I'm trying to figure out if I'm supposed to refrigerate this stuff.

If the Brits can eat this, so can I.

Brits rock.

Not overly fond of corn, though I love baby corn. Thanks for the offer, but I'd like to eat them in their natural habitat some day. So to speak. I'll let you know if I ever change my mind.

I'll gladly send you stroopwafels, though. You'll like them. Wafels are obviously wafers and stroop is halfway between syrup and caramel. They're just about the only part of Dutch cooking that every foreigner I know likes.
