Mini-devotion for Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012

Psalm 113:17-18A, KJV "How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand:" Did you ever stop just for a moment to contemplate the vastness of God's mind? There are well over 6 billion people in the world, yet the Sovereign Lord automatically knows everything that each of us is thinking, as well as our motivations, thoughts and actions - all of the time. Jesus tells us to cast all of our cares upon Him because He cares for us. Yet we insist, day after day, even after casually tossing a care or 2 in the direction of the savior, on picking them back up and tossing them back into our care bag. Today, let it be different. Today, let us acknowledge His thoughts of and for us, accept those divine considerations as He gives them - unconditionally - and go on to live an abundant life in Christ!
