Now before anyone raises a howl of protest that it's too early to talk about Christmas...I'm not. Oveheard someone say it was 17 weeks to go and thought I'd share it
Besides, if what I hear is accurate, the star was already in the night sky and the Magi would been well on their way by now, Mary knew she was carrying the son of God by now and would have been starting to be the butt of some cruel local gossip no doubt.
Ceaser Augustus would have already issued his decree for the census (it would take some time to spread the news and organise it), and I believe, although not sure, that Jesus' half cousain John would have been born about now.
So Christmas wise, plenty was happening.....
