Wolf's Cry

Here you are
and you're stuck
crying inside.

There you were
in your living room
after your mother
rejected you;
called you a thief
and left you hanging.
Your tears
could be seen then.

Even when your father,
your much-beloved father,
struck you until
you bruised and it hurt
for you to sit,
your tears could be seen.

What happened?
Did the pain of a lost lover
who cheated on you
despite their promise to you
hurt you a little too much?
Has two suicide attempts
finally taken their toll?
Do you feel the rejection now?

Either way,
it doesn't matter because
now you're giving the
wolf's cry.
That beautiful, silent
wolf's cry noone will
ever know about.

There's always a point when it seems like it's the end. But it's not. Everything will be okay in the end if you just have faith. Faith that the sun will come out tomorrow. Faith that there are people who will pick up on what you're going through and come to your aid. Faith that one day you'll be able to look back on what's happening now and say, "I really did learn a lot then, didn't I?"
