A question about light, A mystery ? the age of the earth ? universe ?

Genesis chapter 1 God spoke let there be light and there was light , day one

verses 1 -5

veses 14 -19

we see God creating lights in the heavens the firmament to give light to the earth , to mark the seasons,

also a greater and lesser light to rule the day and the night .

it was the fourth day. ?

ive heard it expressed the universe,l the earth is at most 6 - 10 years old. ?

are the stars in the heavens bright enough for us to see , or has the light from those stars traveled to us.

and are any of the stars, galaxy's ect discovered more than 10.000 lights years away ?

As God did not make the trees , amimals or man as young why then should the stars be young at creation?

Was the light created at the beginning day one, different to the light created on day 4 ?

Exactly. If someone were to analyze Adam on day 1 of his creation, no one in their right mind would think that he was 1 day old. No 1 day old person is that big. So is it not possible as well, that when God created everything else, earth, planets, etc.. they also gave off an appearance that they were older than they actually were? Like already developed? Just food for thought...

It would have to be.

Surely the earth is very old. It says so in Hebrews. Our interpretation of Genesis is one of the many areas that demonstrate our lack of understanding of the Word. Too bad because the world thinks we're freaks to believe the Word, at least as we think we know it. That's why many cannot just have "faith". The enemy gets a lot of mileage with this as it conflicts with science. Science actually CONFIRMS the Word.

It has been said that in Genesis 1, the word "was" is translated in other parts of the Bible many times as "became" (without form and void).

Passages in Isaiah point to a pre-Adamic culture on the Earth run by one who is prophetically described as the "King of Tyre". It speaks of Satan or Lucifer and we know where he ended up after getting thrown out of Heaven. It would be interesting to note that some of the places that exist today, might have existed by name in that very time period. The devils got kicked out of heaven and they came to earth. Surely they brought destruction to it. They say the dinosaurs, who definitely existed, had undigested food in their stomachs and it was preserved!

So, some have a crisis of faith and knowing God as they do, insist that the "week" spoken of in Genesis was really only a week as we know it. That makes the earth very young. The evidence points to a VERY old earth and this is not the darwinian "crap" that gets swallowed by scientists as fact (even though it fails the scientific method they go on about everything else).

It boils down to our understanding of the Word is incomplete, certainly as it is generally understood. We have opposing passages of scripture that seem to say opposite things. They are both true, within the context they are written.

The earth in one form or another, will ALWAYS be around, as it says so in the Word. It's reasonable to assume, that it has been here for a huge amount of time. The evidence of oceans and fossils in places with high altitudes indicate a flood that most people claim to be from Noah, but likely it is from the ice age and its thawing. God destroyed the world that then was, having been evil and overrun by devils who were angels thrown out of Heaven.

Many of them are still here causing havoc in the unseen realm.
