Spiritual lifting and my brain...

i just had a discussion with a friend who recovered from depression and anxiety, he said the past trauma and mood actually only created by self, it does not existing , when he recovered he sudeenly realized this and only live in NOW....
recently my brain is controlling me by chaos stress and make me cant do things, blocking energy too, it has been this sometimes always, and if i talk to christian friends and read , i will win, but this time it is a bit hard cuz i need to overcome it sooner i have no time to read or talk with more christians ,
but his words still seem to calm me a bit,
i feel and know spiritual is the only path to make the brain flow well again.
I hope to get more advice and help from here if possible,
cuz i m hard to find further help from my current place
I rely on God now.

Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Lord and sometimes when we suffer from depression and anxiety - whilst it can be triggered by past traumas - it can also be aggravated by what we're not eating and whether we are getting sufficient rest.

I've benefited by feeding both my spirit (with the Word of God, prayer, thanksgiving, fellowship with other believers) and by feeding my body, ensuring that my body has enough sleep and nutrition. I love that passage with Elijah when the Lord sent angels to provide food for him when he was burned out. He ate and he rested (1 Kings 19:4-8).

Cast all your worries, anxieties and cares on Jesus, but try to also eat foods that are high in magnesium (nuts, bran, dates, oatmeal, dark chocolate, soybean, low fat yoghurt etc). The magnesium helps with your nerves and with your serotonin levels - when these are low people can suffer from depression/anxiety.

Also, if you haven't already done so (and if you're able) seek medical advice and get a doctor to check you out just in case there are other factors linked to how you feel.
