Other cities don’t hesitate to incorporate religious images. Las Cruces, New Mexico’s city logo features, not surprisingly, obviously Christian crosses. The more I follow the online discussions ... the more I follow the debates and disagreements in the Church about administrative unity, or the concerns expressed about the moral or personal or administrative or leadership failings of the bishops or the clergy, the more I become convinced that whatever might be the truth of these concerns, ALL of this is simply a distraction. No, it’s more than that. It’s a justification, an excuse, for not helping each other and those outside the Church fall in love with Jesus Christ. How easy it is to talk about everything, but about Jesus hardly at all.

If thats true then the ACLU should be informed. Let the ACLU pick on someone else for a change.

That's not a Christian image. The peace loving Christian being tied to the stake is a Christian image. That has happened far more in the past.

No true Christian would tie another to the stake and burn them. I don't want to judge those who were lead to support such things because they may have acted in ignorance, God alone will judge, they may not have had proper guidance because they didn't have bibles themselves in some circumstances, but those who had the scriptures who lead others to burn witches, God will judge them harshly i think. I wouldn't want to be them.

I can name a saint who burned people as part of his official duties...
