Matthew Henry's Study Bible
KJV Study Bible by Zondervan
Henry Morris Study Bible
All 3 are excellent and have extensive study notes. If you have the money, get all three. As to those complaing about using a study bible, all they are, are condensed commentaries, to which many great preachers have used. You will also find that those who do not use commentaires and such, are the ones that are the most confused and in error.

Commentaries are still only the opinion of those writing the commentaries. Your assumption they are without error is incorrect. God never makes mistakes. Anyone who wants His help can get it. |

Except I didn't make that assumption. The do have error and are to be taken with a grain of salt. I guess my only assumption was that most people already know this.
As far as the rest of your post, I agree.

Any Study Bible including the MHC is sure to be greatly edited. What I did when I read the KJV, I used a separate commentary, in my case, Unger's Bible Commentary of the Old Testament (2 volumes), and the Bible Knowledge Commentary (New Testament).
