Can God's children be "salted" again?

If God's children have lost their salt and light, is God able to revive them again to a point of saltiness and light in the world?

With man, this is impossible. But all things are possible with God.

Jesus would seem to warn against people losing their saltiness:

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. "

PURE salt never loses it's taste. Only when it comes in contact with or is mixed with other elements in the world does the salt leach and loses its taste.

2Cr 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

Heres the savour of HIS knowledge, speaks of the salt (ye are) losing HIS savour

Repentance from our worldly and selfish desires to pursue the lusts of the flesh, and seeking to follow the Holy Spirit, is what is necessary to regain the saltiness and light of our walk.

Right now I am seeking to be made salty again. I have been teaching alot on holiness and sactification, yet all the while I've been smoking and known that God was convicting me that it is sin (1Cor 6:12). Please pray for me that God gives me the strength to overcome... I began the process at 9:30 pm last night.

There is mentioned the Kingdom being given over to David and his sons by covenant of salt. Salt preserves (even heals) as Elisha cast salt in the spring of waters healing the same. Just as being salted is found in the offerings (or just as everyone will be salted) even as we offer our bodies as living sacrifices.

However, there is an example of salt found in Lots wife (who looked back) and she become a pillar of salt too.

I have something written up on how they appear compareable, but my docs are messed up by word and I have alot of deleting to do, its a royal pain.

Believers are to be the light of the world. Light is effective only when it is held high among the darkness.

Believers are to be like salt, but salt loses it's preserving power if it is not in close contact with that which is to be preserved.

"God so loved the world that He gave His only Son." God loved the people of the world.

It is through integration of ourselves with others that salt has power. Light and salt are not for ourselves - for our own salvation, it is for the benefit of others.

If we live a life that is involved with others, and we have concern for others, we have not lost our saltiness. We can lose our saltiness, (our effectiveness) by living to ourselves and being only concerned for ourselves.
