How Do I Uninstall Norton?

Help me ahh! lol Okay so anyhow, I got a netbook almost a year ago and with it came Norton. Well I do not use Norton on it but don't know how to uninstall it.

Can anyone direct me to a site that would help or just give me some guidance on this? I don't use the netbook much but when I do, I get pop ups about renewing the Norton and am sick of them. I just want it gone.

Maybe simply through Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs. But it may be better, and it may be necessary, to go here.
