Love stark raving sane...

“When His family heard about this, they went to take charge of Him, for they said, ‘He is out of His mind.’” (Mark 3:21)

Sin is, in a sense, spiritual insanity. And because the entire human race was compromised by sin when Jesus arrived on the planet, it was sort of like He was the only truly sane person in a VERY large insane asylum. But because the “norm” of the culture in this asylum was insanity, the only truly sane One appeared insane to many of those trapped in the insanity of sin. And so, compared to the lost, Jesus was stark raving sane…

“Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.” (1 Corinthians 1:20-21)
