I hope you meant to say "evidence of evolution" rather than "proof of evolution." There is a difference. For evolution being the primary cause for life is merely a theory, not a proven fact. And what you believe to be evidence for evolution may be the opposite of what you perceive it to be. Therefore, like Dawkin's, it would be better for you to call yourself an Agnostic rather than an Atheist. Of course, I would prefer that you would embrace the message of Jesus Christ, and believe in the Bible. Perhaps in time, you may see what we see and believe.

I hope you realize that because evolution is a theory does not make it any less factual than the THEORY OF GRAVITY. Or any of these theories:

The Cell Theory

You missed my point. My point in stating that Evolution is merely a theory, and not a proven fact, was to suggest that an atheist really has no business using such a proposition as grounds to absolutely denounce Theism. For when they do that, the burden of proof shifts to them to show that the theory of evolution proves God doesn't exist. Of course, they haven't been able to do that. So, it makes more sense for them to take the position of an Agnostic, and simply state that they don't know that God does or doesn't exist.
Instead of condescendingly telling me to "stop hiding behind the theory of evolution excuse" and "read," it would be better for you to pay attention to what people are actually saying, and ask questions where something might not be clear before jumping to conclusions and making unnecessary statements in response to a person's commentary.

It so happens that Evolution has identified same sex orientation as a detrimental mutation...
...In other words it's NOT of advantage to ANY species ( and that includes homo sapien ).
...Thus Natural Selection would preclude same sex orientation as a mutation from "passing on".
...Via gradations.
It's simple, logical and there just isn't any way out of it.....
...So if someone wants to reject what St. Paul had to say about same sex buggery.
...Simply educate them as to what Evolution has to say about it.

If they do not oppose it, but accept it as a norm, then that would suggest they do not fully embrace their own worldview. My belief is that God created EVERYTHING Ex Nihilo thus even the laws of evolution operate according to God's design...

But remember only God can convince people, and as the sovereign Lord He might have hardened their hearts for now... but since they have been attending the forum, our work shall bear fruit in due time!
