With this post I take my leave of this site. I have met some good people on here. Like the author of this thread, when I came here, I was looking for answers. What I got was a place full of arguments and people who and so dogmatic and rude, that I would rather take my chances on a site full of Autistic children than to continue listening to garbage here.
My wife has told me since I have joined this site, she has seen me more frustrated. Rightly so. I prayed and my journey here is done.
Thank you Strangertoo, Soulgazer and Brett for the spiritual and historical knowledge I received from you to help on my journey.

however.......if i speak against what the Bible speaks against.......Then it is the Scriptures that judge you...
unless you say i shouldnt say what the Bible says on certain topics.....or when people speak false hood....

Did the bereans go ask the Pharisees if what paul was saying was true? So then why do you people go to pagan sources to see if what the Bible says is true....
Relying on Science to Prove the bible, when it should be the other way around....

In ONE PLACE in scripture, Christ is referred to as the "Word of God."
One might conclude, therefore, that both are the "Word of God." However, the wording of the question and the wording of the poll itself is different, meaning that it's hard to vote in any case. |

No, he said "It is written in the Scriptures"......
It is always scriptures and never called the Word of GOd.......
There is only 1 Word of God..........Christ

God needs no testing........and for you people to go to outside sources on what is being said
Shows your lack of faith........even though you claim to have "much faith"........
Much faith in what? That God doesnt do what he says? That God got it wrong when he spake?
You go to outside sources because you dont have faith that what he says is true on certain topics
you go to outside sources because you dont have faith that the Bible was watched over by him, to make sure it would be compiled like it should be
no, you go look and see and try discredit Paul........or John
Or whole books of the bible.......

I have to say your lack of self-awareness is astonishing.
Being rude and arrogant and then just saying "Hey I'm just preaching the Bible" is not Christlike. You're just trying to justify being condescending, self-righteous, and elitist. You can't be awful person in the name of love.
Maybe you could do us all a favor and stop posting on this section of the forum? People that post here aren't looking for orthodox members to try to show them the error of their ways.

I think it's unfortunate if you have to leave, but I understand, b/c a forum isn't worth stressing out over.
Is there a block function you can use for people like IOWLBNIF? Maybe that could solve some problems.

It's discouraging when people discourage others by their actions to investigate Christianity.
Back to the topic:
A. God is Love.
B. The Word was with God, and the Word was God
C. The Word of God is Love.
To me its as obvious as the color of the grass; maybe to others it's not, and maybe some can't see it at all.
Each according to their ability.

John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word
Romans 10:17: So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ
Therefore the Word can be literally Jesus AND the Bible, WITHOUT making God's Son a book.
