How many people have to be attacked with chainsaws, kidnapped, and murdered before the US does something about this?
Since they're in bed with the Mexican government and they've killed US citizens, can that be considered an act of war on the US by which the US has justification to go down there and wipe out the cartels?

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things and evil people to do good things, that takes religion.

Pro-drug people have a soft-spot for the Mexican cartels, whom they defend like family. The sale and usage of drugs in the United States is basically an affirmation of the Mexican cartels and everything they do. Stupid and selfish beyond reasoning.

That's like saying pro-clothing people have a soft spot for sweatshops.
Kinda hard to say..If the Cartel heads stay south of the border, there is not a lot that can be done, other than wait for arrests to be made, then request extradition.
Even if the heads were taken down, there would still be someone to step into the void..It's a never ending cycle.

I would think there would be something that could be done. There's so many countries in the world and only a few of them are in the boat the Mexico's in...what did they do differently from everyone else?
Was it something as simple as an elected official taking one payoff from the drug dealers and that started a chain reaction?

Only difference is, the clothing industry isn't abducting American citizens, throwing them in the trunk of their car, driving them back to their own country, and then executing them or throwing them in a vat of acid while their still alive.
Certainly the sweatshops are doing some questionable things, but their not doing them in our jurisdiction.

The number of people being butchered was a lot less before '08 when the Mexican and US government began their war.

The US is largely responsible for the escalation in violence and is perfectly happy having it, and the cartels, continue.

The drug traffic isn't even the part I'm most concerned with, if someone snuck cocaine across the boarder, I still don't view that as a direct attack. When the Zetas send 5 man hit squads on to US soil to carry out executions on our turf, that's when I think the line has to be drawn.
I wouldn't be opposed to the US giving a green light to the Army Rangers to head south for a Cartel search & destroy mission to be honest. They know who these guys are, they know where their compounds are at and they could easily get the job done with little to no collateral damage.

The US is responsible for the increase in violence in the aspect of we let them get away with it the first time and didn't go down there and wipe them out.
