Devotion to God's Infinite Mercy

the Church teaches that God wills the salvation of all humans without exception, and that Mercy is God's greatest attribute

He wills to give unimagined graces to souls who will trust in His Goodness and Mercy

trust in His Infinite Goodness is most pleasing to God

souls that have sinned greatly have a the greatest right to His Mercy, and need not fear

here is a link about the private revelation to St. Faustina last century

It would be more accurate to say that 'part of the Church/Body' rather than the 'Church'...as the Catholic Church is not representative of all Believers...and many here certainly would give any credence to the visions of Faustina that are contra-sound teaching on so many levels.

God in His Infinite Mercy has established one Body to be the Sacrament of salvation in the world

I find the reports of St. Faustina very credible, though no Catholic is obliged to accept any private revelation, ( not even the eminently public, witnessed ones like Fatima, which was witnessed even by atheists)

what I do believe, and what members of the Catholic Church must believe, is that God is Infinitely Good and Merciful

this has been denied throughout history, by Calvin and Luther for example, who taught that some can have no hope of salvation as they have no free will but have been pre-destined for hell

I believe that this doctrine of God's Infinite Goodness, is, like the doctrine of the Trinity itself--with which it is one--is a powerful unifying force

as likewise another related doctrine, the power of the Name of Jesus Christ

Peace and Mercy to you and to everyone--without exception--in this Name of Jesus

Neither Luther nor Calvin taught that.

I will gladly admit it if I can see it, as I do not want to be speaking falsely

For example, the Roland Bainton book you advised me to read quotes Luther:

"...God by his mere will deserts, hardens, and damns...."

(Here I Stand. pg. 254)

here is a link with some of Luther's teaching on this

Biblical Evidence for Catholicism: Martin Luther Clearly Taught Double Predestination, Yet Prominent (LCMS) Lutheran Pastor Paul T. McCain Remarkably Denies This

but in truth God Is Infinite Goodness and Mercy to everyone

Peace to you Albion in the Name of Jesus Christ

Both Luther and Calvin specifically denied that God predestined some people to hell. They both believed in Election to salvation (although they didn't agree totally on that subject), but not that God chose some others to be lost.

I guess then that definition of God's will has God's will failing to accomplish what it claims God wills.

God did not designate the RCC as the "One Body".

God designated that "One Body" to be comprised of "living stones", that are all genuine believers in Christ, which would include some from the RCC and other particular congregations.
