I got a 8 weeks old puppy as a gift from my husband for our first year anniversary in last Thursday. We just bought him 5 days ago, but he is died today because of parvovirus and parasite in the intensive care unit in specialty animal hospital. We tried to save him and brought him emergency room during weekend, for he is the first dog we raise in the America. Since we brought him to our home, he never ate and kept sleeping. His condition got serious at night. After emergency hospital, we figured out he's weak puppy, and puppy store didn't cure him well. Though puppy store tried to avoid the truth that he has a parvovirus, we did our best to save him. We brought him emergency hospital twice during weekends. We didn't give up him, but he was so sick, so we couldn't make it. I am so angry about the puppy store, not only selling unhealthy puppy, but also their behavior. They keep saying if you don't want a puppy, just bring it back to the store to get a money back. He already spent time with us even less than 5 days. What they said to us is so hurt to me. I am pretty sure he'll die in the store if nobody buys him. I feel so sad even I stay with him for 5 days. He was so cute, and he fought for serious virus and tried to survive. I don't know why this bad thing happened to my family. I don't know why God gives me so bad trials. I am already hurt, and there is nowhere to escape from sorrow. I just don't know why.

I would take all the Animal Hospital reports back to the Pet store and tell them that they sold you an unvacinated and sick puppy and that you want compensation for your loss. Take copies of the original papers (not the originals) incase they give you problems you can report it elsewhere.

Please do this! What that store did to you and your family is terrible. I just lost my dog in April and he was sick for a week with vet care. I understand how upset you are. Praying for you!
I can't believe a pet store would sell a sick animal...people in your surrounding area need to know about this!
Our vet told me that the best thing for a pup with parvo is Gatoraid administered a little bit at a time with a medicine dropper..it saved my Beauty when she was a pup, but if yours died within 5 days, it was already to late.
