I never attend those 3, it's been 19 years since I attended that Pentecostal Church. On a longer distance there's a liberal baptist Church, 3 Catholic Churches, an Anglican Church, a Syrian-Orthodox Church. I've never even once attended a baptist Church, so that should proove that I don't have an interest in them. There's not that much to choose from, considering this is a city with 2 million inhabitants, that's due to that atheism and other religions are prevailing, of course. Although other religions are not that much physically present though.
That sounds like quite a lot of choice! Why not give them a go, you could well be surprised (in a good way) by what you find.

So far I haven't become especially interested in any Protestant Churches. I've tried out the Finnish-Orthodox Church many years ago, and when I think back about it, I don't like it.
I've been attending the Anglican Church a few times the past few years.
Maybe I should try out Missionskyrkan? It is nearby. I won't agree with them theologically on everything, of course, but maybe I would like the convenience and meeting people? As long as they agree on the core truth of the gospel, why can't you have fellowship together?

The sermon is an important part for me, I want to learn something and here Bible passages preached. There is no state-Church anymore, but of course I know what Church You mean, it's the "Lutheran" one. I have a really hard time agreeing with them on anything, basically I find only 3 positive things: I like hearing choirs or children singing in the "state Church" sometimes - but I've done that extremely rarely - I remember only one occasion during my adulthood and that was recently now during the spring, that they have the Deuterocanonicals in their Bible (although it remains unknown to me how much they use those books since I never listen to their sermons), and that they agree with the Catholic Church on the teaching of Justification. http://www.christianforums.com/t7645280/#post60221623
So, no, can't say it's an option. It's more than just disagreement on Theology. And no this is not a matter of my upbringing. Originally Posted by Robban Have you tried state church? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
