Distrust can be a stronghold ... a stronghold that may have helped you survive a painful experience of betrayal, but it can become a hindrance to spiritual growth and emotional wholeness. If you have a problem trusting God, I encourage you to take the mighty spiritual weapons that he has provided and begin to allow the Holy Spirit to assist you in removing this stronghold of distrust (Read 2 Cor 10:3-5). Ask the Holy Spirit to go to the origin of your feelings and thoughts of distrust. He will help you resolve your issues and bring healing and resotration to your soul. You have the power to choose to believe God's Word. You can be trusting and confident in God your Savior. He will never leave you, never forsake you, betray or let you down. He will make a way for you when there is no way.

The godly walk with integrity; blessed are their children who follow them. // Proverbs 20:7
It's often 'hurts' and betrayals of people that can colour our perception of God and how He feels and thinks and does with us.
Offences , left to stay in the heart , do become strongholds where the enemy can strap his lies to us , about God.
God , as you say , will never leave us , ever - but when we believe a lie about God - we may well expect Him to bail on us - and so we don't walk with Him in trust - instead we stay in 'no man's land' of calling ourselves Christian - but receiving very little benefit from the union with Christ.
Clear thinking - bible based knowing of WHo God is - is so important - if faith is going to live .
With mind rooted in truth about God - offences from others fall into perspective - and we don't 'need' them as fake power to help us 'cope' - rather , swimming in the truth about God and His love and fervour towards us - we can stay on the path of 'abundant life ' and know what that means - because we know Him and He is trustworthy - we become certain of Him.
God shouldn't betray us in the first place.
Why should we keep trusting when he screws us?
Oh, cuz he knows best!
God doesn't betray us, lol. I meant other people!
