College Soon

I will be starting college soon in August and was wondering if anyone new if there was usually certain Christian Groups to worship with etc. I am looking for a Christian family and was wondering if college had that oppurtunity.

Obviously it depends on the school you are going to.

Contact the Student Activities or Affairs Office, they'll probably be able to help you. Or if you're already attending a particular church, there could be one in that geographical location. Of course, praying and asking for Yahweh's direction is best.

It does depend upon the school, but there are several kinds of things you may find:

* Chaplains. Ministers sponsored by churches, normally recognized by the school. They often run campus groups.
* Parachurch ministries, i.e. groups not associated with a specific church. Common ones: Campus Crusade for Christ, Navigators, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship.
* Churches near the campus often have programs for students.

Of course if it's a church-related school they will probably have official programs of their own.

How much there is depends upon the size of the school, where it's located, and the nature of the school itself. At medium to large schools there are enough opportunities that I'm sure you'll find something.
