I doubt seriously that cat poop will change anything.
try to remember that the poop is only on the outside ... it goes into the dirt and is absorbed by the soil. the plants extract the nutrients from the soil. wipe off the skins with a clean rag, or better still wash with mild soap and water.
remember that in the old days the country of China used to use human poop for fertilizer. it was collected early each morning from the towns and cities and taken to the farms for fertilizer. they had some name for it, like "night soil" or something like that. but it was human poop.
stop to think about all the possible contamination in human waste ... all the parasites and possible disease. but apparently everyone in China managed to survive just fine :-)
plants and trees have been designed by God since day 1 to be fertilized by animal poop and urine. it's part of the grand design.
if you find any specific technical info to dispute what I am saying - please DO post it.

But even with wild animals, they counsel a time factor for the dung to cure. The horse manure I used last year was supposed to sit for six months before being applied to a garden. My cure time was cut close, and we had no problem with it (we had some potato rot, but I'm not sure it was connected). An alternative would be to put the poop in the compost pile, especially if you have a hot pile that consumes everything, and then put the compost on the garden later. |

For example animals never poop where they eat and that makes sense esp. with animals that are carnivorous like dogs and cats....They say the feces of cats and dogs are very bad... My dog goes on our cement patio and I scoop it up but her urine streams to the flower bed.... My little garden is far away all the way at the end of our property and the reason is that I would not even imagine to have her do her business anywhere near there...
Also in nature it takes it some time for the nutrients to go all the way to the root of the plants/ trees... Regardless I do find it repulsive even if it is little bunny poop
