But when I found this article today, I remembered what I was called and thought that I should post it for all you folks that don't know what a "Birther" is. The article just shows that there are some unanswered questions and (to me, at least) indicates that just because answers are desired, does not make one a "whack job".

Therefore, I am confident you are not a birther and I hope no one here is. |

A name-caller is someone who doesn't have a good rational argument, so all they can do is call anyone who disagrees with them names. It's rather cheap and childish. |

For example, Donald Trump just let out a statement staying the president was born in Kenya.
Whether you like him or not, he was born in Hawaii.
I mean, I'm pretty sure that the government checks these things out before they swear the president in. |

Gee, you sure like that word 'bigot'. But there is no reason to make up stories, as Obama is different from most of mainstream I see everyday. because they don't want to say that the real reason they find him different is his African American heritiage.
In all I have read, heard and experienced by people asking the question, the issue of race is rare. Now the real reason they find him different is POLICIES, ones that are at odds with American history. |

Reps: 128,430,987,226,007,088 (power: 128,430,987,226,011) | | | I don't believe that most of those who claim that President Obama was born in Kenya are racist, but I also don't believe that their claims are correct.
The short version:
Questions about whether Obama was born in the U.S. aren't as strong as the proof that his birth certificate from Hawaii is valid, and the burden of evidence strongly suggests that Obama was born there.
The TL;DR version:
Obama's birth certificate has been released several times, with all of the evidence suggesting that it is legitimate. It is identical to a typical Hawaiian birth certificate (embossed seal and signature are on the back, and arguably somewhat visible bleeding through).
I really can't research all of the questions on the site to provide an answer to all of them. I can say, though, that at least one of the statements on the Personal Liberty website is very questionable (although not intentional dishonesty). Obama's step-grandmother was asked, in an interview, about the president's place of birth. She was asked this through a translator and initially responded, again through a translator, that he was born in Kenya. Then, upon being asked again, she proceeded to roundly renounce this statement. Letters from her before that time suggested that she was "proud to have a son born in the US", presumably before he ever even had a political career. It would be very unlikely for a person to "slip up" in an interview like that if they had been maintaining the same masquerade for decades; it is much more likely that there were just comprehension issues due to a language barrier between the interviewer and the interviewee.
The reason why Obama's long-form birth certificate was not given to officials in Arizona is because birth certificates are normally only released to family members, and the police cannot make a request for a document of that sort without a very serious reason to do so (probably on the order of the type that would justify a search warrant). However, Arizona's election chief, who requested documents from Hawaii verifying Obama's status as a natural born citizen, did receive those documents and was satisfied that they were legitimate. |

Seriously, I stopped reading after 'mainstream media.' You qualify according to Wikipedia.
