I wouldn't describe this thread as containing "backbiting and gossip". What I see is several people, including the OP all acknowledging there is a serious issue within the body of Christ in America and several differing views on what that is exactly and what the solutions are. I don't think that constitutes discord at all.

We agree and disagree on many things but I am glad we can agree on the overall main topic here.

Yeah, but the bible is just a whole bunch of different stories written by a whole bunch of different people over such a long period of time. The OT was full of hate and fire and brimstone. Jesus preached that we could have a relationship God without hating others. If Jesus hated iniquity then why was he always hanging out with the sinners?

Showing you love something by hating something else is complete bs. The archaic message you guys preach is the reason why so many people are turning away from Christianity.

As I can easily read by your post, you do not understand the need to separate sinners from their sin. God loves sinners, but He hates sin, and, in fact, what awaits the unrepentant sinner is the wrath of God. Why? Because the Lord is the God of righteousness, not some silly new age concept that has taken out the truth that we reap what we've sown -- to be revealed perhaps while you live on this earth but absolutely in the time of judgment.

"You guys" that you write of are obviously those who actually believe what is written. "Archaic message?" You need to repent, then the veil that separates you from Jesus Christ will disappear and you will be able to see and understand the Word of God when you read it. At this point, you are living in darkness, flaying against the truth with whatever heathen message that has affected your thinking. Quit leaning on that trash and come to God; that is, if you believe in Him, with a contrite heart, while you set aside all of the wicked worldly arguments that you picked up from whatever ungodly opponent of the truth that you esteem.

Honestly after looking at the culture and generation as is today and coming from living in Africa with my parents as they were missionaries it's come to my attention as a young adult and knowing knowledge of this generation and past generations. I literally believe 65% of Christians are fake. If not higher. I know this is highly criticizing and judging, so please let me explain. If you walk up to most people on the street and ask them if they believe in God majority answer is "Yes", but really they do not even know a thing about God they just assume I live in the United States and was born and raised on Christians values and believe in God but yet they continue to live wicked lives. How can you even reach people like these? now this is not even close to where I am going on all the whole "Fake Christian" thing in USA.


Now after leaving Africa and living in the United States for many years now. I find the Christianity alot different. As far as youth I don't even see any of them being truly Christians. Of coarse no one is perfect but it's more of a social thing/I was grown up in it so I do it. I literally knew this young teen I worked with who was a worship leader at his youth group yet at work he was talking about the party he just attended and got drunk at and enthusiastically bragged about it at work. Now as many adults and witness to my own family not my family but uncle, aunts and cousins. They attend church every sunday but after that they continue you with their lives not even mentioning God or acknowledging him. Continuing in their wicked lives. Even the rest of the church, even they "Good ones" they literally think they know God go every sunday they live in nice houses pray over their dinners share some scriptures then one day I seen them get drunk nice family of my friends. *I know everyone makes mistakes and sins and can be forgiven but this is something different* It was like I realized they never even knew God in the first place. Kind of like that scripture where the men cast daemons out in God's name but yet he said to them "I never knew you".


Half the church thinks the know God some you even think oh of coarse but yet their just these goof balls who post this corny crap on facebook about God. Don't even get me started on this TBN garbage*Not saying everything on their is not legitimacy*. It's this fake Christianity where God is not even their. In Africa even as a young boy I could see God literally act and touch peoples lives these Africans not effected by the media and american dream and get touched by God. Ive seen Mircales and unexplainable events of strange power of God literally feeling him enter the room and flood us. Collapsing everyone. Not that fake crap where you just praticpate but literally falling before his glory whether you wanted to or not. I'm just a kid and I am experiencing this?. It's about having this relationship with God, how many people go to church come home continue you with your normal lives. Is it not the whole purpose of christianity to speak the gospel across to every person and live for god radically. Yet everyone attends church and seems instrested but yet selfishly continue to try and create their perfect family and life little house on the parie "Oh but were christian and live christian standers and pray" but yet none of them can even recall an experience with god.

People can live good lives and never enter heaven. I ask some of my friends who do not attend church, which a big amount now days and are swaying away from it. They think the whole church thing is bullcrap and don't even think God is real, hmm wonder why? because he does not show up in our churchs. Our nation is so wicked just watch tv, Jersey shore media brainwash on youth. Celebrity worship and etc Teens getting pregnant, premarriagle sex is a craze, rape everything. Mass bullying. Such a sinful nation. Reminds me of the times before the flood. I literally think the end of the world is around the corner. Just watch the news. I understand this generation and I wish you could see this in my eyes of how wicked and decieved this nation is. Because although I am judging I was also brainwashed for many years.


I came back to United States, as a young kid I literally was in touch with God. I soon became to lose my faith and was sinning without even thinking or remorse. I still went to church and hanged out with my church buds but then I was drinking at parties and this whole media and music industry brainwashed me without me knowing. I was even in complete denial. I loved this American life, This is not how life was attended to be lived were living in a fantasy land. Just go to any other country. I soon truly came back to the lord about 2 years ago after I realized what I was doing. God I think is coming soon, Look at our wicked government. I cannot even vote for either president on both sides their all wicked and money craved. This is all joke, I am sorry if I sound harsh but people need to wake up.


God has been missing from this nation for along time. We need to stop treating him like an idol and more like a father. I feel like I have a personal relationship with jesus. I know some of you may to but I know alot think they do but it's nothing but jibberish. Why are we not litsening to what God wants? preaching his gospel praying to him and letting him take complete control. Look at all the bible figures they had no live like ours, to be exact they had horrible lives but were so in love with jesus. I know these were mostly apostles but why cant we be like this? why do we think it's ok and do our same routine. Read the bible, go to church, go to work, make a family, get old, retire, live in a nice retirement home. Is this life? or just all a lie. Sorry to rag on for so long just trying to make a point.
