...and then this: “Arabic has been identified as a critical-need language,” she said, citing students’ future “career trajectories.’’
Hmmm... doesn't that sort of beg the obvious question? |

They are preparing for a global caliphate, in my opinion. |

Rev 19:9-10 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. |

Absolutely.
I studied Russian back in the day ... always wondered why not many others did. It's actually come in handy from time-to-time. Being able to read Pravda headlines in Cyrillic is kinda fun.

Mandating it as part of the curriculum: not cool.
Our schools are failing to educate kids in too many more important areas, especially American civics.

Exactly. It should be a voluntary call. Languages are fascinating in their own right. Arabic should be offered. The realities of Sharia law should be discussed as well in school. In particular, the goals of radical Islamics should be openly discussed in school.
Hiding under a log, denying reality, serves little useful purpose.
