No but she may speak with one of our chaplains, either I or Eldermike. Are you writing for her because she is incapacitated or just trying to be a good sister? I ask this because sometimes we have instances where a person does not want help but someone else trying to help them get it. I'll await your reply.
God bless.

She is reluctant to go for marriage counseling. I think she feels that her husband is not willing to change so why bother. She vents to me alot and I realize by what she says that she really needs professional guidance. She is mostly homebound and feeling very lonely. I am only one person and cannot be the only person she talks to. I was just trying to find a site for pastor wives because she might be willing to be involved with something like that. I just feel she needs all the support she can get.
Thank You, |

Thank You,
I would urge her to go to counseling by herself if hubbie won't go. With the problems she has she could really benefit and I say this from personal experience not just what I learned in school.
Being unwilling or reluctant to go to counseling is a common reaction but if you think of a counselor as a doctor and her conditions as medical problems then it is clear what might benefit her. Certainly, she is not doing well on her own and despite all of your efforts, you cannot provide all of the kinds of support that she needs. I know you are really being supportive. Hopefully she will take a step in the direction of what could be more healing than she has known in some time and into a life where these maladies do not cause so much pain and sadness. There's a lot to be said for happiness.
God bless you and I will pray.
