I have to admit, I do love these threads! I love them a LOT!. I like how, when no one reacts to the OP the way that was expected, people start throwing on more stuff to see if anyone will bite.
tulc(couldn't care any less who President Obama's dad "really was")
So ... what was the expected reaction, tulc?
Personally, I'm not sure anyone is surprised any more at anything Obama might have done or said or been in the past ... or present.

Rev 19:9-10 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Well Rion seemed to think things were going to get pretty hot:
*Covers NHE in a flame-retardent suit* I'd seen this, but didn't post it.
I also noticed you didn't ask him why he thought that. That kind says you were sort of expecting the same reaction. I could be mistaken, wouldn't be the first time.

I'm not surprised people think this sort of thing is true or that it matters, but that's ok, in the end it just makes the people who post it look kind of silly and it probably will help to get President Obama re-elected.
tulc(so...thanks in advance)

I did note that Rion said that ... but didn't understand really what he meant ... other than he was hesitant to jump into this thread. Didn't seem worth asking about though.

LOL ... don't know if it's true or not, either. Gee ... do you think it makes me look silly, tulc?
[ ... not that NHE is terribly concerned, but he wonders why tulc would want to minimize something as important as Obama's mentor being a Marxist? Oh wait, tulc is a commune dweller.
Guess that explains a lot ... ]

Has Frank Marshall Davis released his birth certificate yet? Maybe Obamas pretend internet hoax father isn't really American too. He sure looks awfully black like a Kenyan.

Really? Someone thinks you're going to need to be covered with fire proofing material and you don't understand why but don't bother asking them why? I know I'd be curious (unless I pretty much thought so also)

It kind of did, until you said you didn't even know if it was true or not! Then it looked a little sad.

Probably because I can't see that his "mentor" had much influence on President Obama's policies.
Oh wait, tulc is a commune dweller.

You mean because I'm so much like the first century Christians who lived like that? Or because I live the same way thousands of other Anabaptist's have lived throughout our history?

I don't live in fear, tulc.
I find it very interesting though that you are now disappointed in my non-reaction to a post. You also thought some of us were disappointed in the responses to the OP. Kinda think that's projection on your part, tulc.

I got it from a reliable source ... which has rarely been wrong.

It's OK, tulc. I'm still in good spirits.

LOL ... from your perspective that seems understandable, tulc. Obama will have a lot more flexibility in the next four years though. Maybe he'll be able to implement overt Marxist totalitarianism in the next term.

Hmm ... now I truly don't understand. It seems inconsistent with the Google description for Anabaptists.
Several existing denominational bodies may be regarded as the successors of the continental Anabaptists: Amish, Brethren, Hutterites, Mennonites and to some extent the Bruderhof Communities. Some historical connections have been demonstrated for all of these spiritual descendants, though perhaps not as clearly as the noted institutionally lineal descendants. Although many see the more well-known Anabaptist groups (Amish, Hutterites and Mennonites) as ethnic groups, the Anabaptist bodies of today are no longer composed mostly of descendants of the continental Anabaptists. Total worldwide membership of the Mennonite, Brethren in Christ and related churches totals 1,616,126 (as of 2009) with about 60 percent in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
I think of Anabaptists as eschewing politics. Evidently, your clan doesn't subscribe to that philosophy though.

Top - Obama and Frank Marshall Davis
Bottom - Obama vs Obama Sr.
Hilarious!
Let's take a photo of two black men with an attentive facial expression and very short hair and compare it to a black man with glasses, smiling and longer parted hair and ask which two look more alike!
